Jamaica Deaf Education Project Inc.
Mission Statement:
The mission of Jamaica Deaf Education Project Inc. is to educate and give hope to families affected by hearing impairment. Our vision is to seek children with hearing impairment in the communities and to give them an education, so that every deaf child on the island of Jamaica may have an opportunity to be successful in life.
The team is dedicated to Jamaica’s deaf children. The goal is to educate families to better deal with this disability, by going into the poorest parts of the island to find those youths that need help and to give materials, medical help and an education. These children are then, enrolled in school usually the Caribbean Christian Center for the Deaf (CCCD), where they will learn sign language, basic education, or vocational training.
